Village Square’s Youth Hub is giving young, aspiring leaders a unique opportunity to learn leadership in action – from successful thought leaders in at the helm of national and international social action organizations.
In our inaugural ‘Shadow the Leader’ program, candidates will have the opportunity to spend approximately 2 weeks with an established development sector leader, both observing and engaging with them, learning as they navigate through the umpteen challenges and opportunities of social action leadership.

In our inaugural Shadow the Leader program, candidates will have the opportunity to spend approximately 2 weeks with a thought leader, both observing and engaging with them, learning as they navigate through the umpteen challenges and opportunities of social action leadership.
The program will commence from 12 August 2022.
The benefits of the Shadow the Leader program
The program will enable you to:
- Observe leadership in action
- Seek guidance and mentorship
- Network with eminent and successful leaders from diverse social sector domains
- Formulate and deliver a vision plan for the future
- Learn empathy, active listening and relationship building
- Get recognition in the form of letter of recommendation and certification from Village Square
Eligibility
- Any final year undergraduate student with 2-3 internship experiences in social sector/non-profit organizations; or
- Any postgraduate student; or
- Any young social sector entrepreneur/employee with 0-2 years experience; and
- A passion to lead.
