A massive crowd of locals and tourists gather at the Minjar fair bringing people from all corners of the country. The fair is celebrated in the Chamba valley of Himachal Pradesh to mark the victory of the Raja of Chamba over the head of Trigarta (now Kangra) in 935 AD. Upon his return, the king was greeted with sheaves of paddy and maize to symbolise prosperity and happiness.
