The “Summer vibes of India” photo contest is not just about clicking pictures; it’s about capturing the heart and soul of rural India under the compelling theme “developing India.” From the richness of cultural traditions to the advancements in technology, we encourage participants to explore and document the myriad facets of rural landscapes. Let’s reshape perceptions and illuminate the vibrant tapestry of rural life, spotlighting unity, resilience, and community development.
We are seeking entries in five categories – culture, food, monuments, technology, and community development. Through your photographs, we want to witness how Indian villages are uniquely woven together by your camera.
Contest Details
The photo contest will start on May 8, 2024, and the deadline is June 30, 2024.
The winners will be announced on July 10th, 2024.
School students of age groups above 11 years old can participate.
Submission guidelines: Each participant submits 2 photos (school ID, and a nominated photo) in JPEG format via the Google form, along with captions and photo locations.
Judging criteria: creativity, relevance, caption, and positive portrayal of rural India.
Prizes
The top 100 will be given Village Square goody bags containing a tote bag, a bottle of water and a dairy.
The top 10 photographs will be featured on the national platform – Village Square website and social media with the winner’s credentials. The winner will also get certificates with exciting prizes.

Now take out your camera and capture the nation in all of its colours: vibrant rural fashion trends with their multitude of traditional outfits; the food with its plethora of delectable flavours and various cooking styles and dishes; and other cultural elements like the arts, crafts, and festivals.
